Coffee Bean Delivery in Dubai: How to Get Fresh Specialty Beans at Home
Good coffee at home starts with good beans, and in Dubai you no longer need to hunt for a roastery to find them. Specialty coffee beans can be at your door within the hour. Here's how to choose well and keep them fresh once they arrive.
Why buy whole beans instead of ground coffee
Coffee starts losing its aroma soon after it is ground. Whole beans hold on to their flavour for much longer, so you get a better cup every time you grind just before brewing. That's why every coffee we sell is whole bean.
What to look for on the bag
Origin: a named country and region, like Kenya Mathira or Ethiopia Guji, tells you the coffee is traceable.
Tasting notes: chocolate and caramel usually mean a rounder, sweeter cup; berries and florals mean a brighter one.
Process: washed coffees taste clean and crisp, natural coffees taste fruitier and heavier.
Roast level: dark roasts suit espresso and milk drinks, lighter roasts shine in pour-over and filter.
Which beans for which brewing method
Espresso and milk drinks: Crave Dark Roast, Unreal Dark Roast or the Split & Soul blend.
Pour-over and V60: Bean Alchemy (Kenya), Urban Roast (Ethiopia) or Sleepy Monkey (Burundi).
French press: Player 1 (Brazil) or Unreal Light Roast.
Evenings: Cobberly Decaf, decaffeinated with the chemical-free Swiss Water process.
How delivery keeps your coffee fresh
Every coffee ordered on our website is from a fresh roast. On the delivery apps you can choose between our fresh roasts and "Better Value": slightly older stock, clearly labelled, at a lower price. We deliver across Dubai from our kitchens in Motor City, JLT, Business Bay and Al Sufouh.
Storing beans in the UAE heat
Keep the bag sealed, away from sunlight and the stove, in a cool cupboard. Don't keep beans in the fridge: moisture and smells get in. Buy an amount you'll finish in three to four weeks, or let Yours Truly, our monthly coffee club, send a fresh 1kg every month.
Order on our website or find us on Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Noon Food and Keeta.
